Primary 2 Sports Day

Our third and final sports’ day of the year took place on Friday the 28th  June and was for our older Primary students.  The weather continued to impress, but even the glorious sunshine was outdone by our fantastic students!

Students went around in their class teams and spent 10 minutes on each event.  The events were varied and fun and included:


1) Velcro target throw

2) Netball/Basket ball shoot out

3) Bean Bag Can alley (knock the cans off the table with bean bags)

4) Water pistol hoop targets (shoot water into hoops) 


1) standing long jump with tape measure

2) High jump (over a pole balanced on cones)

3) Hi bounce (Trampette, how many jumps can you do in the time)

4) Ladders (jumping two feet into each hole)


1) Foam javelins (with tape measure)

2) Bean bags (with tape measure)

3) Basketballs (with tape measure)

4) Knock Down Cans


1) Sprint race

2) skipping race

3) Egg and spoon race

4) Balance race (bean bag on head idea)

5) Hurdles 

6) Space Hoppers!


1) Sprint race (the batons/high 5/bean bags)

2) Skipping 

3) Sack race


1) Football dribble (In and out of coloured spots)

2) Penalty shoot-out (using football goals)

3) Passing (pass backwards and forwards to a friend how many can you do in the time)

It was a fantastic morning and a great end to our three day sports’ days!   Well done to Kirstie for planning and delivering Primary Sports’ Day...what a great success!
