Fantastic Football Frenzy as Albion in the Community Entertain Woodlands Meed with First Wheelchair Football Festival!

On the 11th June, Hedgehog class participated in their very first organised competition outside of Woodlands Meed as they attended a football festival organised by Albion in the Community.  The event, held at The Triangle Leisure Centre in Burgess Hill was specifically for wheelchair users and its primary aim was to engage students with complex physical needs in sporting activities.

The students participated with and against different schools in a variety of activities which included races, relays, fun games and matches.  It was a fantastic event and our Hedgehog students achieved so much both on and off the pitch.

The whole of Hedgehog Class had an amazing time and we will definitely be attending again next year!

Sport really IS for EVERYONE as it continues to break down barriers and provide opportunities for each and every one of our truly inspirational young people!!!

Another fantastic success!!!  Well done Hedgehog Class, we are so very proud of you all!
