Supporting Fair Trade Fortnight

Two pupils from KS3 were chosen to represent Woodlands Meed at a special Fair Trade Event in Burgess Hill at Sheddingdean Primary School.   Headteacher Gill Perry and the two chosen KS3 pupils enjoyed the event which helped launch Fair Trade fortnight and raise awareness. They  heard presentations from the Chair of the town's Fair Trade Committee, Robert Egglestone, as well as some very impressive presentations on Fair Trade by pupils from Sheddingdean. The school choir entertained us as well. We were very proud of our two students who represented us. They took part in the whole event in a mature way, asking questions in the public discussion and showing great interest in all we learned. They also enjoyed the Fair Trade cakes and chocolate bars that were showcased at the event!
