Around the World in 80 Days

Our KS3 musical play, Around the World in 80 Days, was really well received. Pupils aged 11 and above from the School site played the parts of Phineas Fogg, Passeportou, Inspector Fix and Gru..... supported by a glittering cast of Victorian Ladies, Drummers, Cowboys and Cowgirls,Native Americans and some  Indian Ladies (with a Bollywood slant). Highlights inlcuded Phineas arriving in Africa where he was met by wonderful animals and villagers, and at the end when Santa Rudolf and an Elf rescued everyone from all the confusion! During the journey Phileas and Passportou travelled in a motorised boat, a motorised train and a (non motorised!) Hot Air Balloon. It was a very memorable production.

Students should be very proud of their performances, and so should those who helped in other ways: making the film trailer, programme design, technical assistance or lighting.
