‘Amazing’ Fox Class Get Active

On Tuesday the 10th October, Fox Class travelled the short distance to The Dolphin Leisure Centre in Haywards Heath for a Get Active event organised by Active Sussex.

For many of the students, this was their first time representing Woodlands Meed and they all did the school proud!  Activities included familiar sports such as squash and cricket, but this event also gave students the opportunity to try more unusual sports such as martial arts, pop-steps and pickleball!  Everyone had a great time and really enjoyed trying all the different activities; here is some pupil voice about the event…

‘I liked learning how to bowl in cricket’

‘I like all the songs and dancing’

‘I loved the martial arts!’

‘I liked playing tennis’

A member of staff who works at The Dolphin Leisure Centre also reported back to us to say how ‘amazing’ our students were, how they were ‘all engaged’ in the event and they all participated fully and with ‘great enthusiasm'!

Well done Foxes, we are very proud of you!
