Yr 7 Catch Up 18/19

Funding Received:

In 2018/19 Woodlands Meed received £11,500. We used this to employ an Intervention TA to work across the 2 year 7 classes for 2 days a week. In the Autumn term she supported in class whilst assessing those who needed a catch up boost. In the spring term target were set and progress tracked against these targets as a summative assessment.

Analysis

Our intervention TA has worked with various pupils through the year following ongoing discussion with the class teacher and targeting the areas where they are falling behind their peers or have needed specific support to overcome their barrier to learning.

Our biggest success was with a pupil who needed 1;1 support to transition from the class into the intervention room. With very careful steps built into the programme of Social skills this was achieved by the end of the year.
