FANTASTIC FLEDGLING FLY IN LATEST FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

On Monday the 21st October, a squad of year 6, 7 and 8 students travelled to The Triangle in Burgess Hill for the annual football tournament.

We were very pleased to be able to field two teams for this 6 aside competition and participated against schools such as Warden Park, Lindfield, Cuckmere and Saxon Mount.  Both teams fought valiantly throughout with the highlights being a 3-1 win against Oakgrove by our A Team, and a high scoring, end-to-end match between our B Team and Bowden House.

For many of our students it was their first time playing in a competitive football tournament.  They did everyone proud, especially considering they were playing against students who were much older, and far more experienced than them.

Every single player did amazingly well, however special mention must go to Fred and Megan for winning ‘The Player of the Tournament’ awards for their team spirit, work rate and enthusiasm.  Well done guys!
