The Meeds SEND Alliance

Welcome

The Meeds SEND Alliance is a support service for schools and their families of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in West Sussex. The Meeds SEND Alliance is led by Leah Nimz of Woodlands Meed. Leah is supported by Louise (Administration) and Andrea (Finance). We offer support to both member and non-member schools of the Meeds SEND Alliance.

The Alliance aims to improve outcomes for children with SEND and supports schools and families by:

  • Developing networks between schools and other service providers

  • Sharing resources, skills and expertise

  • Providing an outreach service for schools

  • Assessing and meeting the needs for training

  • Signposting to other organisations and support

  • Providing peer support for Inclusion Leaders

  • Contributing to the Local Offer of provision for young people with SEND

  • Providing support for families of young people with SEND
