Teaching Assistants

Interested applicants need to have experience or a keen interest in meeting the needs of learners with a wide range of special needs and the ability to contribute positively to a team of class staff.

Permanent, full time and part-time positions available.

Full time staff work 35 hours per week, term time only - 8.45 to 4pm Monday to Friday (5pm on Tuesdays). Please specify what hours you are available to work if applying for part-time.

NJC Grade 4 /5 (scp 5-8) dependent on experience.

Pro rata salary SCP 4-8 £19150-£20129

There are vacancies for teaching assistants opening up regularly throughout the year.

We welcome applications for Teaching Assistant roles at any time due to length of time taken to complete pre-employment checks.

Class Teacher - For Sept 2024

Woodlands Meed seeking permanent teachers, to start September 2024.

Woodlands Meed is a foundation special school and college with a wide range of learning difficulties and complex special needs, including Autistic Spectrum Conditions and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. We are also a Specialist School for Communication, Autism and Careers Education.

We are a dynamic, positive and enthusiastic organisation with a commitment to supporting the professional development of teachers. We will arrange your transition into Woodlands Meed and provide you with the training and support to meet your individual needs. We are committed to supporting CPD and have invested in the IRIS programme, a recording and review tool to support staff development and best practice in education. We will support your development of a subject area at Woodlands Meed and will give you training and financial support to help you develop and grow a subject area.

All teachers at Woodlands Meed need to be flexible and have the knowledge to deliver all curriculum subjects. We are looking for teachers who are looking to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team that provide an individualised approach to learning. The ability to lead a team of support staff and to personalise learning are key skills.

We are recruiting full-time and part-time teacher roles. We can be flexible to accommodate your experience in various key stages and would welcome applications for teachers across:

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Primary (Key Stage 1 and 2)
Secondary (Key Stage 3 and 4)
Secondary and Sixth Form (Key stage 4 and 5)
