Being a member of the Woodlands Meed Alumni is fantastic. Diane and the team organise some lovely events i.e. a pizza event, the BBQ, and also a speakers event. This gives me the opportunity to catch up with teachers, staff, and students who were with me before. Finally, being a part of the alumni gives you access to support such as apprenticeships, job opportunities, and support if you decide to go into college, or other further level education. I was lucky enough to go to University Of Brighton to study Media Production thanks to Woodlands Meed and Dv8 Sussex.
I think being with you wonderful lot has truly changed my life for the better. Ever since I joined in it has brought many moments of joy to my life having a chance to get in touch with a few of my old compatriots via this Facebook page.
I am currently at the Burnside Day Opportunities Hub and taking part in different events with them. I must say, I'm settling in well! I am still currently enjoying my part-time job as a college cleaner at the college site.
I am also currently writing more entertaining poems and stories for Carousel and performing them all across Sussex. I also appeared on an episode of Carousel TV when I performed on a bus.

I think the Woodlands Meed Alumni has been great for students who left woodlands Meed College and have moved on to be independent in their journeys like me. I'm part of a drama group in Shoreham on a Friday which is great fun, and I work on a Saturday volunteering at a charity shop.
