We are extremely proud of the comprehensive Careers Programme we offer. Under the current Covid-19 situation we have adapted our programme of events and activities to a more blended approach including a virtual programme of events and speakers in place of face to face visits, until we can safely do these again.

Skills for Life and Learning
In September 2020 we launched a new school and college wide reward system based on a set of 7 (and an extra 1 for college students) key skills we want all of our students to practice. We worked with colleagues in further education colleges, employers and careers services and have identified 8 important skills that we need to learn when we are young, which helps us as adults.
When students earn rewards, they get house points and an individual mention in celebration assemblies. Class teams have created visual charts to help them learn which skills they have shown. We are really excited about our Skills for Life and Learning and celebrate all the amazing skills our students have shown us already.
Work Place Visits & Work Experience
The majority of learners in KS4 and KS5 will have visits to the work place and take part in work experience. SLD pupils are given the opportunity to visit day centre provisions. In the past students have visited a wide range of different workplaces from PVL UK, a local employer who specialises in car wrapping and applying vinyl to emergency service vehicles across the globe, to Waitrose and Pets at Home.
