Parking

School Site Families Parking:

We promote that where possible, pupils should walk to school as fresh air and exercise on a daily basis offers health benefits, helps reduce carbon footprints and it is free.

Some pupils are not entitled to local authority provided transport. Parents in this position often choose to drive their child to school.

Wherever possible these families should park in the Queens Crescent public car park and walk their child to school. Permits allowing free parking at pick up and drop off times are available to download from the school website.

Some local pupils are not able to walk this distance safely either due to medical conditions or disabilities. Therefore families of these pupils are permitted to use the dedicated drop off zones in the morning. After school these families must use the dedicated car parking spaces as the drop off zone is required for the larger transport vehicles to park and load pupils safely.

Should parents require vehicular access at any time to collect a sick child, they are able to use the intercom at the barrier to request access. Families should ensure that they drive with the utmost care, as children may be leaving or entering the grounds.

Woodlands Meed operates a before school club, which helps to stagger the arrival time of pupils.
